Open je boek (p52) en zoek bij Unit 1.2 de grammatica uitleg van de present simple (en present continuous).

The present simple

We gebruiken de present simple                                                                 Signaalwoorden: Every day, 

- Voor activiteiten die regelmatig gebeuren                                          usually, often, sometimes,            
I go to school every Monday to Friday.                                                    

- Voor activiteiten die volgens een schema gaan 

School starts at 8.15 a.m.

- Voor dingen die een feit zijn

I have one brother and one sister.

The present simple

We maken de present simple door bij I, you, we, they de stam van het werkwoord te gebruiken.

Bij he, she, it gebruiken we stam +s. 

Use the present simple.
I ... at the party. (to dance)

Use the present simple.
The baby ... (to cry).

Use the present simple.
She ... English. (to teach)

Vragen maken met de present simple

I live in Zwolle.                         Do I live in Zwolle?
He lives in Zwolle.                  Does he live in Zwolle?

We make een present simple zin vragend door do of does vooraan aan de zin te zetten. 

Uitzonderingen 

Uitzonderingen: am, are, is, have got, has got

Am I a teacher?
Are you a student?
Is he a student?
Have you got a brother?
Has she got a sister? 

Ontkenningen maken met de present simple

You live in Zwolle.                  You don't live in Zwolle
He lives in Zwolle.                  He doesn't live in Zwolle.
            
We maken een present simple zin ontkennend door don't of doesn't in de zin te zetten.
