We use the present simple for something scheduled:

We have a biology class next Monday.
The train arrives at 6.30 in the morning.
The holidays start next week.
It is my birthday tomorrow.

We can use the present continuous for plans or arrangements:

I am playing football tomorrow.
They are coming to see us tomorrow.

“I’m thirsty! I think I will buy a drink.”

We use be going to to talk about future plans and intentions. Usually the decision about the future plans has already been made. + predictions & commands

She is going to be a professional dancer when she grows up.

Past Simple: Something happened in the past
I met my wife in 1983.
They got home very late last night.

Past Continuous: for something which happened before and after another action
The children were doing their homework when I got home.
