Used to/would

If something was regularly done in the past, but not anymore; often with a word like ''vroeger''.

Used to + verb / would + verb

E.g.

Als kind las ik veel, maar nu kijk ik meestal tv.   

As a child I used to / would read a lot, but nowadays I usually watch TV.

In the past

If it's about something in the past that replaced by something else --> Only "used to"

E.g.:

There used to be a school here, but now it's a mall.

You use ''didn't use to'' in a negation.

E.g.:

I didn't use to like rock music, but now I do.
