If something was regularly done in the past, but not anymore; often with a word like ''vroeger''.

Used to + verb / would + verb

E.g.
Als kind las ik veel, maar nu kijk ik meestal tv.   
As a child I used to / would read a lot, but nowadays I usually watch TV.
