Hoe maak je de past continuous in bevestigende, ontkennende en vraagzinnen?

Wanneer gebruik je de past continuous

Hoe maak je PC

was/were + ww + -ing

example: I was skating when you saw me. 

past continuous - bevestigend + maken

With al the pronouns: 

I was walking

you were walking

he, she, it was walking

we were walking

you were walking

they were walking

hoe PC ontkennend

was/were +not +  ww + -ing

example: I was not skating when you saw me. 

(wasn't - weren't)

past continuous - ontkennend - maken

With al the pronouns: 

I was not (wasn't) walking

you were not (weren't) walking

he, she, it was not (wasn't) walking

we were not (weren't) walking

you were not (weren't)walking

they were not (weren't) walking

Hoe PC vragend?

   was/were + Onderwerp +  ww + -ing + ?

example: I was skating when you saw me. (normale zin, onderwerp staat vooraan)

? = Was I skating when you saw me?

Wanneer gebruik je de past continuous? 

Je gebruikt de past continuous als iemand in het verleden een tijdje iets aan het doen was.

Wanneer gebruik je de Past Continuous?

1. Wanneer iets altijd, nooit of regelmatig gebeurt.
2. Wanneer iets in het verleden een tijdje aan de gang was
3. Wanneer iets in het verleden is gebeurd.
4. Wanneer iets in het verleden is begonnen en nu nog bezig is.

1. In de tegenwoordige tijd
2. In de verleden tijd

Past continuous:

Wat is de regel van de past continuous?

1. hele ww+ ed of irregular verb
2. was/were hele ww+ ing
3. vorm van to be + hele ww+ ing
4. have/has + voltooid deelwoord (3e rijtje)

Past Continuous:
in welke zin wordt de past continuous gebruikt?

1. I haven't been to that film yet.
2. I was walking down the street when I tripped.
