This theme you will do two assessments

You will do a reading comprehension test

&

Create a writing journal 

Reading Comprehension

Each week during one of the classes we will read one or several texts.

Each week we will focus on a specific reading strategy or element.

We will use this to improve your reading comprehension and prepare you for the upcomming test

Journal Writing

During this theme you will be working on a writing journal.

Each week you will write two entries for this journal

These will need to be handwritten

Journal Writing

One entry per week will be done in class and will be the same for everybody in this class

One entry will be an individual entry that will be picked at the end of class and to be completed as homework. 

Journal Writing

In total you will write at least 12  entries.

Each entry and the journal as a whole will be assessed on the following elements:

• Title & Date
• Sentences
• Critical Thinking
• Capitalization/Punctuation
• Spelling
• Presentation
• Neatness
