  • 700,000 BC: First people come to Britain
  • 3.000 BC: New Stone Age, farming people arrive from Europe
  • 21,000 BC: Bronze Age. Bronze weapons and tools. First villages
  • 750 BC: Iron Age. Population about 150,000
