LAST WEEK'S CLASS
Go out and take photos of as many English words as you can find on bilboards, in shop windows, on cars and other places. The more photos you take, the easier it is to do your assignment (opdracht) next week. 

TODAY'S CLASS:
You will make a short story of the words by putting the words together in a video. Five sentences is the minimum. Be as creative as you can! (Look at the example on the next slide)

They sound similar but the stress (klemtoon) is different

13 and 30     thirteen and thirty
14 and 40     fourteen and forty
15 and 50     fifteen and fifty
Not clear? Check - Do you mean one five (15) or five o (50)? (the letter o = zero)

Numbers are said in the same way as Dutch numbers, except for the last two numbers.

21 - twenty-one (twintig één)

You each have a paper with numbers on them. Say your numbers out loud to your partner and your partner will write them down. 

When you are finished, listen to the numbers of your partner and write them down.

Work in pairs
You will get a paper, on the next slide you will see many numbers. Take a post it and copy three numbers from each column onto your paper. You will have 3 numbers x 6 columns = 18 numbers on your paper. 

Listen to the numbers and cross out the numbers you hear. 
When all your numbers are crossed out, shout BINGO!

hrs / hrs. - hours (time) 
km/h - kilometres per hour

m2 - square metres (vierkante meter) m3 - cubic metres (kubieke meter)
° C - degrees Celsius - ° F - degrees Fahrenheit
