Some/Any

When do you use SOME?

• In bevestigende zinnen.
• Wanneer je iets aanbiedt. (Do you want/would you like/How about...)
  
• Wanneer je OM iets vraagt (Can I have .../Could I get ...)
• In questions when you expect the answer is: 'Yes'.

For example: 

Would you like some bread? Yes, I would.

I brought you some bread. Bevestigend.

When do you use ANY?

• In vraagzinnen (als je niet weet of het antwoord ja of nee gaat zijn).
• In ontkennende zinnen.

For example: 

Do we have any bread in the house?

I don't want any bread.
