Past simple

Je gebruikt de past simple om te praten over het verleden. De actie of gebeurtenis is gestopt en er is geen link naar het nu. 

Om de past simple te maken, voeg je -(e)d to aan het werkwoord. (regelmatige werkwoorden)

I waited at the gate.

We changed flights in London.

Bij onregelmatige werkwoorden verandert de vorm van het werkwoord.
