- Oefening baart kunst
- Ga series of een film kijken. Iedere dag een paar minuten naar het nieuws kijken werkt ook. Of korte fragmenten in het Engels. 
- Schrijf woorden op die je denkt te horen of die je herkent. Je mag altijd aantekeningen maken op een kladblaadje. 
- Doe je ogen dicht
- Vul altijd iets in

-kom uitgerust naar de toets. Focus is heel belangrijk. Als je namelijk aan het dromen bent, dan hoor je niet wat er gezegd wordt. 
- Oefen andersom. Kijk eerst naar wat het antwoord is en ga dan gericht luisteren of je het antwoord hoort.

  1. Read the question carefully
  2. Check the title/pictures/first sentence to determine the MAIN LINE OF THOUGHT of the text
  3. Only look at that part of the text which the question tells you to look at
  4. Look out for linking words (signaalwoorden)
  5. Look out for words that you DO know
  6. Watch out for positive or negative words
