At the end of this lesson you can write an email in response to your friend. AND you know how to structure this email.

• Structure - task 1 (10 min)

• Peer feedback  (7 min) - only if there is time - otherwise next lesson

Task 1 - Bring structure in the answer

What: Put the parts in the correct order 

Why: Helps you see structure of an email.

How: work in pairs, use yellow bulbs as help.

Time: 5 min

Outcome: Discuss with a different pair, then group

Help: Partner then teacher

Finished: Come up with as many greetings and goodbyes

When are you succesful? 

1.  Structure - Have you put in all parts in the right order (slide 5)?

2. Contents - Have you used all the notes from the email in the right way. 

3. Language - Is your English understandable and without many mistakes. 

Task 2 - Write your first email

What: Write an email. Use around 100 words. Alone.

Why: Test practice

How: Pick one of the 2 assignments that suits you best

Time: 15 min

Outcome: Peer feedback - improve for next lesson

Help: BBB (Book, NeighBour, Boss)
Extra Help: Some students get extra explanation by me upfront

Finished*: Look at the other assignment. Are there things you could reuse?
* You might not be finished at the end but that's fine.
