Relative Pronouns

'Relative Pronouns' gebruik je als je extra informatie wilt geven over iets of iemand met behulp van een bijzin.

Relative Pronouns

'who' --> om te verwijzen naar mensen

'This is my best friend, who lives next door.'

'which' --> om te verwijzen naar dieren of dingen

'This is my bike, which is very old.'

'This is my dog, which is very friendly.'

Relative Pronouns

'that' --> kan je in plaats van 'who' of 'which' gebruiken, BEHALVE als de bijzin met een komma begint.

(onthoud: nooit 'that' na een komma)

'This is the friend that lives in Swansea.'

'This is the bike that is for sale.'

Relative Pronouns

'whose' --> betekent 'van wie', 

                        gebruikt om aan te geven bij wie of wat iets hoort

'That's the friend, whose bike was stolen.'

'That's the bike, whose wheel disappeared.'
