Future > going to & will+shall

Lesdoelen:

To be going to 

We gebruiken 'to be going to' om te praten wat er gaat gebeuren of wat iemand van plan is.

To be going to 

Om een zin met 'to be going to' te maken hebben we drie dingen nodig:

1. Am / are / is
2. going to
3. hele werkwoord

I	am	going to	swim
You	are	going to	swim
He	is	going to	swim
She	is	going to	swim
It	is	going to	swim
We	are	going to	swim
They	are	going to	swim

I ___ (to see) a film in the cinema tonight.

1. am going to see
2. are seeing
3. is going to see

He __ (to call) his mother.
(NIET afkorten)

Mark and Jessica ___ (to play) tennis tomorrow.
(NIET afkorten)

Ontkenningen  met 'to be going to'

Als je zegt dat iets NIET gaat gebeuren gebruik je not/n't

• You are not going to return that book to the library.
• He isn't (is not) going to tell you.
• I'm not (am not) going to do that.

Vragen met 'to be going to'

Als je vraagt of er iets gaat gebeuren begint de zin met am / are / is:

• Am I going to meet your sister?
• Is George going to  do his homework?
• Are we going to watch a movie tonight?

will+shall

* bij een spontaan plan

* bij een voorspelling gebaseerd op een mening

* bij een spontaan aanbod, weigering, belofte, voorstel of verzoek

* bij feiten

* onzekerheid over de toekomst, in de zin vind je vaak: I think, probably, possibly

Wanneer shall?

bij I + we in vraagzinnen

* We will go to the supermarket.
* Shall we go to the supermarket?

Let hier op:

• will + shall = zullen (zal) 
• afgekort: will = ‘ll (ik zal = I will >  I’ll)
• will not > won’t
  

* I’m trying to make a salad for lunch.
* (I - to help) _________ you with that?
