Bezit aangeven

Je kunt het bezit op drie manieren aangeven:
's (apostrof +s)
' (alleen een apostrof)
... of... (tussen woorden in)

Bezit: ‘s 

Je gebruikt bijna altijd ‘s :
Kate’s books
Mother’s bike
The children’s bikes

Bezit: ‘

Maar, als een woord (meervoud) al eindigt op een –s.
Gebruik je alleen een apostrof ‘                                   :
The  students’ books
My parents’ house
Those girls’ friends

Bezit: ‘s / '

Als je een naam van een persoon, winkel, product bedoeld
Of uitdrukkingen die tijd aanduiden kun je allebei gebruiken:
Charles’ / Charles’s wife
McDonald’s / McDonalds’
Yesterday’s / Yesterdays’ news

Wanneer je aan wilt geven dat iets ergens bij hoort, gebruik je …of…          (Voor dingen, plaatsen en landen)
