At the end of the lesson I can use the second conditional in two sentences.

Second conditional

Second Conditional.
If Julie....(like) chocolate, I ....(give) her some.

She ____ (be) happier if she _____ (have) more friends.

We (come) to dinner if we (have) time.

She ______ (pass) her exam if she _______(study) more.

Second conditional

So:
If + past simple,         + would + infinitive 

If you worked harder, you would pass the test. 

example sentence	if clause	main clause
Unlikely/unreal situations in the present or future	past simple	would(n't) + infinitive (whole verb)
If I lived closer to the cinema, I would go more often.	If I lived closer to the cinema	I would go more often

Make second conditional:
If he ... (be) younger, he ... (travel) more.

SECOND CONDITIONAL

USE? We use the second conditional when we talk about present or future events that are not likely to happen:                       

                                       --> ONWAARSCHIJNLIJK

FORM? If + past simple, + would + infinitive

EXAMPLES: If I were you, I would tell her.

                         If I won the lottery, I would travel the world.
