India is the land of many people, languages and religions. India has been independent since 1947, after being part of the British empire for 90 years. English is still an important language in India. Another thing that remained in India after the British rule, is cricket. Indians love cricket! Did you know that India has the highest cricket ground in the world? It lies at 2.444 meters altitude in Himachal Pradesh.
