Abbreviations
Abbreviations are often used in short texts such as adverts or announcements. These are some examples.

Times: a.m. / p.m. 
Days of the week: Sun, Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat
Months: Jan, Few, Mar, Apr, May, June, July, Aug, Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec
Street names: Ave (avenue), Ct (court), Dr (drive), Ln (lane), Pl (place), Rd (road), St (street), Sq (square)
