What three tenses can we use to talk about the future?

• To talk about future plans or intentions (something you plan on doing in the future)
  Example: Geoffrey is going to study in Berlin when he's older.

• AM/IS/ARE + (NOT) GOING TO + VERB (INFINITIVE)

Future 'WILL'

FUTURE 'WILL'

• You use it to make promises (belofte) or to make predictions (voorspellingen) about the future
  Example:  Don't worry, they will be fit in time for the match.

• WILL or 'LL - They will or they'll and then the infinitive

Present simple for future events

PRESENT SIMPLE FOR FUTURE EVENTS

• You use the present simple for future events that are scheduled or arranged
  Example: The supermarket closes at 10:00 pm.
