CAE LISTENING TEST 8 PART 2
Listening PartTwo is a monologue lasting about three minutes. You hear the recording twice. You have to
  • listen and complete eight sentences with information you hear, using 1-3 words
  • write the actual words that the speaker uses

Before you listen, look at the gaps to check
  • what type of information you need.
  • what types of words will fit the gaps.
Then, when you listen
  • write words you actually hear. DO NOT CHANGE THEM
  • make sure you spell them correctly.
Afterwards check if your sentences are grammatically correct.

Read the gapped text before you listen. This will show you how the recording is organized and give you an idea of the topic. The gaps in the sentences should provide a clear idea of what information you are listening for.
