Relative pronouns 

who, whose, which, whom (that)

Verwijzen naar eerder genoemde personen, dieren of dingen. 

Gebruiken wanneer je meer informatie geeft of deze personen, dieren of dingen.

• who (die / dat)                             
  The girl who fell of stage was my classmate. 
• whose (wiens / wier = van wie // kan ook voor dingen)
  He is the boy whose iPhone I found. 
  That book, whose title was: Harry Potter, was a great read! 
• whom (wie) Alleen achter een voorzetsel.
  They are my best friends, some of whom I have known for years.

which (wat / dat, welke)

I dropped my iPhone, which was brand new.

who - personen

which - dieren/ dingen/ zinsdeel

whose - bezit

that - voor which/who - geen komma = informatie verplicht. 

informatie verplicht - GEEN COMMA

Silvia is the girl who I have loved for many years now. 

Men who steal are thieves. 

The house which has a blue roof is being painted. 

The man whose car was stolen is screaming loudly. 

voor WHO en WHICH mag je ook THAT gebruiken = info verplicht

niet verplicht - KOMMA

My father, who is 45, works as a teacher.
