Eating and shopping habits are part of a culture, form part of an identity. The form and conventions used to express them can be different in different cultural contexts.

Conceptual:  How does my identity relate to my eating and shopping habits?

Debatable: Does the financial or political situation of a country influence my eating and shopping habits?

Asessment 

For this unit, you will be assessed on Criterion B.

You will be asked to identify the main ideas of a visual and written text related to the eating and shopping habits of Spanish-speaking people, recognize the basic conventions used by the author and make a personal response to the text by comparing the Spanish habits to the habits related to their own cultural background.
