Hoe maak je een rangtelwoord?

Bij de meeste rangtelwoorden wordt er +th achter het gewone telwoord gezet:                                                                                               four - fourth - 4th               seven - seventh - 7th
     nine - ninth - 9th                 eleven - eleventh - 11th 

Bij eerste, tweede en derde is dat niet het geval:

one - first - 1st        two - second - 2nd        three - third - 3rd

twenty <> 20th = twentieth

thirty <> 30th = thirtieth
forty <> 40th = fortieth

fifty <> 50th = fiftieth

sixty <> 60th = sixtieth

Rule: -y + ieth

21st = twenty-first
22nd = twenty-second

23rd = twenty-third

84 = eighty-fourth
