Quantifiers

We gebruiken quantifiers om de hoeveelheid van iets aan te geven.

	telbaar	ontelbaar
weinig	(a) few	(a) little
veel	lots of / a lot of	lots of / a lot of

Quantifiers

Telbaar of ontelbaar wil aangeven of de quantifier over telbare of ontelbare woorden gaat, bijvoorbeeld:  
Time = ontelbaar. Je kan niet zeggen 1 time, 2 time. Little time.
Cars = telbaar. Je kan zeggen 1 car, 2 cars. Few cars.

Quantifiers (a) ...

I bought a few books today.  (een paar)

I bought few books today.   (weinig)

There is a little food left in the pan.  (een beetje)

There is little food left in the pan.  (weinig)

There is ______ oxygen in the room, I can barely breathe.

My students have shown _____ progress. They all failed this test.

There is _____ air in the balloon. It doesn't float anymore.

Do you mind answering _____ questions? It won't take that long.

Quantifiers

Much / many = veel

They don't have many animals.
I don't have much time.

Some/any

Some gebruik je bij positieve zinnen en vragen waarop je bijna zeker van weet dat het antwoord 'ja' is. 
Can I have some water?
We have some issues with Marc.

Any is voor negatieve zinnen (met not) en vraagzinnen.
They don't have any milk.

Future tenses

will = belofte, voorspelling, aanbieden (op moment van spreken)

shall = voor vragen met 'I' en 'we'.

present simple = roosters, schema's, georganiseerde evenementen

Present continuous = toekomstige plannen die al gemaakt zijn en afspraken die al gemaakt zijn
