In pairs:

Think of one superstition that you know is stupid, but that you also know many people abide by...

Go back to chapter 7 and write down:

- who did Elya want to marry?

- who was Madame Zeroni?

- what did Elya have to do to marry 

  the girl of his dreams? 

- which two things did he not do?

- what happened to Elya?

Discuss with your neighbour:

How could someone outwit a curse?

Could Stanley lift his curse? Or will he be doomed forever?

Come up with one great curse to place on someone who has annoyed you this week...
