1. How does this poem make you think about what is means to be an American?

2. How is 'America' represented in this poem and how does it make you feel about America?

3. At the beginning of the poem the writer is 'send to eat in the kitchen' and at the end of the poem he states he will 'be at the table'. What do you think this symbolises?
