Rule 1: To be and auxiliary verbs

(?) These verbs  will be placed at the beginning of the sentence. 

(-) You place not or n't after these verbs. 

Auxiliary Verbs

Can you apply this rule? 

• He is doing his homework. 
• I can read that sign from here.  

Rule 2: other main verbs 

With any other main verb, you add the verb to do.  

(?) To do + hele werkwoord. 

(-) To do + not/n't + hele werkwoord

In both cases the main verb changes to the infinitve. 

Make this sentence negative:
The cat sleeps on our bed.

Make this sentence a question:
He told me about the trip.

To be going to future	Is he going to have a birthday party?
