Example Story: The Mysterious Cave

Last summer, my friends and I went hiking in the mountains. The weather was perfect, and we felt excited. After an hour, we found a small, dark cave. We were curious, so we went inside. Suddenly, we heard a strange noise! It sounded like footsteps. My heart raced. We turned on our flashlights and saw… a little fox! It looked at us and then ran away. We laughed and took some photos. When we left the cave, the sun was setting. It was a fantastic adventure, and we will never forget that mysterious moment!

Writing

Write a short story (80–100 words) about an exciting or surprising experience you had. It could be about an adventure, a special trip, or an unexpected event. Use the past simple to describe what happened.  (You are allowed to make something up too!)

Tips:

- Use past tense verbs (went, saw, ate, was, had, found, met, ran).

- Start with an introduction (When and where did it happen?).

- Describe what happened and how you felt.

- End with the conclusion (What was the result?).
