Story 1: A trip to the beach
Last weekend, the weather was beautiful: hot and sunny without a cloud in the sky. We decided to head to the beach. We packed the trunk of the car with our swimsuits, and took some potato chips and candy to eat on the way. We took the freeway to Santa Monica – the traffic wasn’t too bad and we got to the beach at around ten after eleven. It was too cold to go swimming in the ocean, so we went for a walk on the beach. All in all, it was a fun day.

    Story 2: A discovery
It was late at night when Jenny walked through her house in her bathrobe. She had just taken a shower after a long day of work. Suddenly she heard a loud sound outside her window. Jenny looked at the sidewalk in front of her house. The sound seemed to come from the trash can. The streetlights were turned off, so she picked up her flashlight and walked out. She slowly tiptoed ot the trashcan, her heart beating fast. She opened it and saw to her amazement: a raccoon happily holding a $50 bill.
