These can all be avoided if you use the Word spellchecker or if you check your work!

On the next slides, you will see one sentence. Each sentence has one mistake (unless it says differently).

Please find the mistake in each sentence and correct it (just the mistake).

2. I think that wont be the case with all the Corona measures.

3. If you are going to take the plain, I can pick you up at the airport in Amsterdam.

4. Are you still with you’re girlfriend?

8. Its just a few minutes from where i live. (2 mistakes)

11. this is one of the best cinemas I’ve been to in my hole life. (two mistakes)

12. I can show u many things in the city.

13. You should also bring some warmer clothes for the cold weather if I were you, cause the weather in The Netherlands can vary a lot. (hard one...)

14. The burrito’s there are very delicious. You should try them.

A few questions on grammar or sentence structure...

Find the mistakes... For most of the sentences in the next few slides, you don't have to rewrite the whole sentence (just the correction), as long as your answer is clear.

Examples:

I had to wait to long for the bus.

to long = too long

The burritos there are very delicious, you should try them.

The burritos there are very delicious. You should try them. (period instead of comma...)

15. In the evening we will go to a very good restaurant they have the best “kibbling” in the whole country.

16a. I heard that you come to Amsterdam next summer.
16b. I’ve heard that you were coming to Hilversum next summer.
(same correction for each sentence)

17. You can sleep with me, so I pick you up from Schiphol airport and then we drive to my home in Amsterdam.

18. We can also do a canoe trip on the water because it's very beautiful and silence.

19. After the night, we can do fun activities on Friday like going to the zoo.

20. Although, the weather here can switch up very fast, so don’t forget to bring a raining jacket. (several mistakes...)

21. What would you do if you win a trip to Holland?

22. You should stay at my house by the way, I’m sure my parents won't mind.

23. We live near to the hockey club.
