Caste system (book)

South Asian cultures are known for the caste system. Everyone is born into a certain social class, a ‘caste’. Essentially, you live, marry and work with people from the same caste. It’s important to show respect to people from higher castes.

You are born in a role in society, and so you don't rebel against being poor. OR

Saving face or losing face?

Saving face is for example about being humble and shifting the spotlight away from yourself

Losing face can for example happen by being out of control,  you will be lowered in the eyes of your peers
