  • ‘gist’ (de essentie van het fragment) 
  • specific information 
  • important details 

  • Try to discover which one applies to the questions when you are making a listening/watching test. What do they want from me?

Kijk/luisteren VWO Engels
  • globaal kijken: hier mag je de vragen nog niet lezen. Je kijkt/luistert naar het fragment, maakt aantekeningen en dan beantwoord je de vragen. 
  • selectief luisteren : hier mag je de vragen al wel lezen, meerdere vragen per fragment. Dan luister je naar het fragment en maak je aantekeningen. Vervolgens beantwoord je de vragen. 
  • "gewoon" kijk/luisteren: je mag de vragen al wel lezen en kijkt/luistert een fragment. Vervolgens beantwoord je de vraag.

1. Lees de titel, bekijk het plaatje, check de bron en schrijver. Bedenk wat je al weet over dit onderwerp. 
2. Lees de vraag en beslis of de tekst kort genoeg is om helemaal te lezen of dat je slechts een (paar) alinea's moet lezen.

3. Lees de eerste bewering en zoek het tekstgedeelte op waar de bewering over gaat. 
4. Lees dat tekstgedeelte goed door en bepaal of de bewering klopt of niet klopt. Herhaal dit met de overige beweringen 
6. Weet dat als er niets over de bewering wordt gezegd het altijd fout is! Gebruik dezelfde woorden als in de vraag (wel/niet of juist/onjuist)
