A Christmas lesson

We are going to start with a video about penguins celebrating Xmas. Afterwards you will have to be able to answer the questions I give you.

Several years ago in 1970, KFC launched a campaign when people in Japan struggled to buy a whole turkey for Christmas.

It is now a very big tradition and orders are placed up to two months in advance!

That is tradition for some in... Greenland!

It's an Inuit delicacy called Kiviak where they stuff little birds into a seal skin and let it ferment for seven months!

Not a real one however, it tends to be a blown glass ornament that is passed down through generations.

The first child who finds the hidden pickle on Christmas morning is blessed with good luck for the next year and a special gift.

They leave their smelly shoes out!

In the days leading up to December 5th, Dutch children put their shoes by the fireplace in the hope that Sinterklaas fills them with gifts and treats.

However, if the child has been naughty that year they will only receive a potato!
