• Je gebruikt any in ontkenningen en in de meeste vragen (vaak waar meerdere mogelijkheden zijn).
  
• Have you got any suggestions? =(Heb je (enige) suggesties?)
• I haven't got any idea.=(Ik heb geen (enkel) idee.)

SOME / ANY

Some en any hebben dus dezelfde betekenis, 

maar worden in verschillende soorten zinnen gebruikt. 

Some gebruik je in bevestigende zinnen, deze eindigen altijd met een punt of een uitroepteken en er staat geen 'not' in.

Any gebruik je in zinnen met een vraagteken 

en zinnen met het woord 'not' er in.
