'some' and 'any' both mean 'iets', 'wat' of 'enkele'.

Is the sentence affirmative (= bevestigend), use some:
  • I’ve got some oranges.

Is the sentence negative (= ontkennend) or a question? Use any:
  • I haven’t got any oranges.
  • Have you got any oranges?

Is it a question but that question is an offer (= voorstel) or request (= verzoek), use some:
  • Would you like some tea?
  • Can I have some water, please?
