You will learn about ordinal numbers (rangtelwoorden)

GOAL

Know what ordinal numbers are and you are able to remember a few after this lesson. 

 Wat zijn rangtelwoorden?

Rangtelwoorden (ordinal numbers) gebruik je om een volgorde aan te geven.

Rangtelnummers (ordinal numbers)

Een rangtelwoord maak je (bijna !) altijd door er   

-th achter te zetten.

Voorbeeld:

Four  -  Fourth 

Five  -  Fifth 

Six  -   Sixth

 Seven  -  Seventh 

Uitzonderingen:

First - Second - Third (en twenty-first, thirty-second, etc.).

five - fifth 

eight - eighth

nine - ninth

twelve - twelfth

twenty - twentieth
(thirty - thirtieth, forty -  fortieth enz..)

Schrijf een kort verhaaltje waarin minstens 5 rangtelwoorden worden gebruikt. Wees zo creatief mogelijk!

Today, the twenty-sixth day of February. I'ts the first time I am going to run a marathon. In the twentieth minute I tied my shoelaces for the second time. I came in seventh.
