Task: Describing

Choose two photographs on page 2 or 3 in your textbook. Describe these photographs in detail. Use one of the keywords from lesson 1. Minimum of 30 words.

                                            ***Sentences to help you describe :

-> use colours/shapes/size to describe even better.

Question 2. Why are some coastlines straight while other jut out into sea?

There are two reasons for this (let's write this down):

1. In areas where the waves/current is strong, more coastline will be washed away.
2. It also depends on the type of rock (soft rock, hard rock) When rock material is soft it will take longer to be washed away.

Homework task: Discover

1. Find a location online in the UK (all wind directions) and in NL(north and west) where they have the type of coasts that are also on page 2 and 3.  (use google maps)

2. Save 1 picture to your computer/phone from each country. 

3. Upload it to the padlet: https://padlet.com/owk/coasts_hlml

4. Describe which type of coast it is, and put your name next to it.
