Why is waste bad?

• Most trash is sent to a landfill
  
• Imagine the smell of a trash bag
• A landfill contains thousands of bags full of trash
• This creates toxic waste that can be harmful to the environment
• This effects the fertile soil and plants can no longer survive
• Animals can mistake food for trash which can hurt them 

What is going on in these two photos and how may it impact animals?

• The deer cannot look for  predators because the container is blocking its eyes
• The deer cannot eat because the container is covering its mouth
• An animal may mistake a plastic bag for a jellyfish
• Plastic is harmful to an animals digestive system
• If an animal eats too much plastic, they can become very sick and die
