We use present simple for events in the future that are scheduled or arranged

- The supermarket closes at 9pm

To be going to

You use am / are / is + (not) going to + a verb to talk about future plans or intentions

- I am going to study later this afternoon

- We are going to watch a movie tonight

- Jack is going to climb a mountain next year

Will

You use will to make promises, or to make predictions about the future. Will van also be shortened to 'll.

- They will be okay, I promise.

- If we ask, Davey will definitely help us.

- I'll send you a text later!
