Present Perfect: have/has verb+ed or irregular verb (3rd)
An action started in the past and is relevant in the present 

I, you, we, they have taught English at this school for 20 years now.
He, she, it has worked at Albert Heijn since 2015. 




past simple
= talk about finished actions in the past. You usually say when they happened --> Last weekend I went to Amsterdam. She ate a sandwich yesterday. He slept until 12pm.

= when something happened recently -> with JUST

Emily has just made dinner. 
Tino and Tina have just left the chat. 

Just is written in the middle of the PP

= when sth hasn't happened YET but it probably will

Yet is written at the end of the sentence.
