Expectations: only the person in front of the class speaks, the rest is quiet. Presentation will be timed. The others write down 1 tip and 1 top for the student in question. No laughing at the person presenting. You wouldn't want to be laughed at either.

And to be able to hear what people are saying, which I cannot do if they are all talking through each other.

Students now can do the exercises. When they're done, they may look at their grammar exercises with their neighbour and see if they have the same answers. If the answer is different, who is correct and why?

Recap what their homework is and move on to the goals. They have a reading test in week 3 and whereas some did really well on their reading part of the test, others could use a little extra practice, so that's what we'll do tomorrow instead of Vocabulary in Use
