1. Book Club name
Imagine: You meet every week for a Book Club!
Therefore, you need a BOOK CLUB NAME
On the next LessonUP slide come up with the coolest Club name for your group.
Your club name should in some way refer to your books and/or the group members (and your personalities) 
- Write it down on one of the colored pages

2. 2 truths 1 lie
1. Get a piece of paper
2. Write 3 statements about your book: 2 statements that are true and 1 that is a lie
3. Read them all out to your schoolmates. 
4. Then each of the schoolmates should guess which one is a lie.
5. For each correctly guessed LIE you get 1 point.
6. Try to make it tricky for your schoolates so you can score more points!
If none guesses your LIE -> YOU get 2 points!

3. Think of 5 adjectives and 5 nouns that describe your book
1. Each of the members thinks of 5 adjectives (bijvoeglijke n.m.) and 5 nouns that describe their book.
Write them down on your colored paper as a mindmap
2. Look at each other's mind maps and see if there are any adjectives that more people in the group have written down
3. Take a photo of your mind map

4. Choose a theme
1. With which word/phrase could you describe each and every book of the group. What do all the books have in common?
You can choose from the list below or think of a new word/phrase  (but consult your teacher)



2. Each members finds at least 3 examples of how is that showcased in each of the books. 
For example: Find quotes or paragraphs from your book and explain why it fits the theme
Write it down, since you will need this part of the assignment for your presentation.
Heroism, Love, War & Peace, Suffering, Coming of Age, Good and Evil, Deception, Survival, Supernatural, Mystery, Guilt, Innocence, Loss and Death

Describe your theme in a few sentences (if your theme is: Coming of Age - what does that mean?) 
- 1 slide
Talk about how the theme is showcased in your own books. Find quotes or paragraphs and analyse it. 
- 1  or 2 slides (per group)
Mention a few other known movies or books where we can find the same theme - 1 slide
Option A: Think about how YOU as the reader relate to a character in your book (how are you similar to them? In what way? In a way of thinking? In their dynamics with their family members...?) - 1 slide per book

Conclusion: As a group advise the rest of the schoolmates which books would you recommend to your schoolmates. Why (ARGUMENTS and ANALYSIS not just: It's a nice book!! - think about the theme, the characters, the language...) - 1 slide 
Option B: Think about how the year the book was set in influences the book. Create one slide where you present the importance of the setting and think how a different historic time would change the story. 1 slide per book
