For today's preparation, you have read through the list of poetic devices, you have read the 'how to analyze a poem' instructions and you have read the first poem in the reader, i carry your heart with me by e.e. cummings

Now, form pairs 

In pairs

• Take 20-25 minutes to analyse 'i carry your heart with me' by answering the how to analyse a poem questions in your reader. 
• Left half of the class answers the odd questions (1,3,5,7, etc), the other half answers the even questions (2,4,6,8 etc).
• Write your answers down.
