The story was most likely written in the 12th Century although the manuscript which was found dates back to the early 1400's.

The story was therefor most likely spread through oral tradition since the book press was not yet invented.

Read "The story of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight." p.27-28

Read the text: "Chivalry is dead ... and it should stay dead" p.32-33

Write a response to the main point made in the article about Chivalry. (150-250 words)
