Being late
Every lesson starts with a timer of 5 minutes.
You are late when the timer has finished and:
  • You are outside the classroom
  • You are sitting on the wrong seat (seating chart) or standing
  • Your stuff (laptop,book,notebook) is in your bag
  • Your jacket is in the classroom
  • Your bag is on your table

Rules
  • Listen to the teacher and each other!
  • Got a question/remark: raise your hand and wait for your turn
  • Pick up after yourself
  • Use your laptop for the right things

Breaking the rules
  • First time: Warning
  • Second time: Writing assignment (copy paragraph)
  • Third time: Bigger writing assignment and 5 min outside classroom
  • Fourth time: Previous + 45 min detention and UIT

Writing assignment: hand in next lesson, incomplete or forgotten = go to hallway and make it until done.
Detention: You'll find when in your timetable. Usually end of a schoolday

Rewards
  • +1 cm2 cheatsheet = you get to make a cheatsheet for a test. This starts being 1 by 1 cm. Everytime you earn this it gets 1 cm bigger to a max of 4 by 4 cm.
  • 1/3 +0.5 = If you earn this 3 times you get to add 0,5 to one of your biology marks.
  • Snitch = You can pick a classmate who also is checked for homework, you earn two V's (having 3 earns you a 1/3 +0,5)
  • Too bad = You only get one V
penalties
  • 45 min extra worktime = you need to come after school and do homework, this will last for 45 min or until the task is done
  • Coloringpage = You get to pick a coloringpage, You need to color it and perform tasks that might be on it. You need to hand it in during the next lesson, If you don't you get 2 marks.
  • 2/1 marks = a mark is an X, if you get 3 of these you will automaticly earn the 45 min extra worktime.
  • Snitch = You can pick a classmate who also is checked for homework
  • Lucky! = You don't get a penalty

  • No smartphones in the classroom, If you have one with you > I'll take it and bring it to the servicedesk where you can collect it after 16:00.
  • No food during class! Drinking only with permission.
  • Most things can be found digitally

  • Only use the toilet at the start/end of the lesson
  • Classrooms with outlets for electricity, only use them when needed!

Using the laptop
You'll often use your laptop during the lesson to do one of the following:
  • Joining the lessonup
  • Doing assignments
  • Making tests
  • PIF
You shouldn't use your laptop to do other things that aren't needed for the lesson (Gaming, watching videos, etc.). 
This will result in a writing assignment

Making a PIF
PIF = Personal Idiom file = list of new words
  • On your laptop create a new document, call it: 'PIF Biology'
  • Make a table like the example
  • If you find/read/hear words during the lessons that are unfamiliar/unknown/difficult, add them to your PIF!
  • Make sure to save the document well! You will use it throughout the year!
