Bricks book
At the start of the year, you receive a Bricks book.
This book has a number, and that number is linked to your name.
At the end of the school year, you must hand it in again.
If the book is in bad condition, your parents will have to pay a fine of … euros.”

Being late
Every lesson starts with a 5-minute timer.
You are late if, when the timer runs out, you have not done all the following:
  • You are in the classroom.
  • You are sitting in the right seat (seating chart).
  • All the things you need (laptop/book, notebook, pencil case) are on your table.
  • Your coat and phone are in your locker (not in the classroom).
  • Your bag is on the floor.

Slide 7 - Diapositive

Rules
  • Listen to the teacher and to each other.
  • Comment/question? Raise your hand and wait for your turn.
  • Leave your place tidy and clean.
  • Use your laptop only for schoolwork.

Slide 8 - Diapositive

Breaking the rules
  • 1st time: Warning from the teacher.
  • 2nd time: Extra work (usually copying from the textbook).
  • 3rd time: More extra work and 5 minutes in the hallway.
  • 4th time: All of the above plus 45 minutes detention/cleaning duty and being sent out of class.
Extra work: You hand it in at the next lesson.
Not complete or forgotten? → It doubles for next time.
Again not finished? → You are sent out of class immediately + detention/cleaning duty.

Detention/cleaning duty:
I will add this to your schedule → it will show in Magister. Usually at the end of the school day.

It starts at 1 by 1 cm. For every S you have, it grows by 1 cm more, up to a maximum of 5 by 5 cm.
+ = With 3 + you may add 0.5 to a biology grade of your choice.
Snitch = You may choose a classmate who will also be checked.
= If you have 3 ✔, you may change them into an S or a +.
Penalties
45 min catch up = After school you come to do homework.
This lasts 45 minutes or until you finish the given task.
Colouring page = You choose a colouring page, colour it in, and do the task that goes with it. You must hand it in at the next lesson.
Not (completely/neatly) done = 2 crosses (X).
X = With 3 X, you automatically get the 45 min study.
Snitch = You may choose a classmate who will also be checked.
Lucky! = You are lucky this time.

Missed a test?
Missed a test? (Because of illness or another reason)
  • Normally, I plan a retake, often during the retake moment on Tuesday afternoon. (This will appear in your schedule!)
  • If you miss the retake without a good reason, you will get the test without warning during a Biology lesson.

Using the laptop
You'll often use your laptop during the lesson to do one of the following:
  • Joining the lessonup
  • Doing assignments
  • Making tests
  • PIF
You shouldn't use your laptop to do other things that aren't needed for the lesson (Gaming, watching videos, etc.).
This will result in extra work (without warning first)
