Poem: Ben Jonson 

- The picture was the only of a few portraits approved by the people who were close to Shakespeare.

- This poem was included in the first folio = the first publication of Shakespeare's plays in 1623

- this picture can only show us the appearance without Shakespeare's wit. In order to get to know Shakespeare one needs to read this book.
