Length conversion

Adding lengths

If you want to add lengths together, they MUST be the same unit

To add 5 m and 25 cm: 

1. convert the lengths to the same unit

5 m = 500 cm          25 cm = 25 cm 

2. Add all the lengths

500 cm + 25 cm = 525 cm 

Perimeter 

Perimeter is the distance around a 2D-shape
