Slide 2 - Diapositive

Planet Earth
Drinkable water, oxygen to breathe and the atmosphere protects us!

Our Solar System

Slide 4 - Diapositive

Third planet
The earth is 12.756 kilometers in diameter at the equator.

The circumference of the earth is 40.075 kilometres.

Slide 5 - Diapositive

What is so special about our planet (Earth)?

Slide 6 - Question ouverte

Living planet
The Earth is located at exactly the right distance from the sun.
Therefore it is hardly too hot or too cold.

Slide 7 - Diapositive

The atmosphere
This is a layer of gases that are surrounding the earth.
Oxygen is one of those gases in the atmosphere.
It also makes sure the temperature doesn't drop too much at night.

Slide 8 - Diapositive

The atmosphere
The atmosphere also protects us from radiation from the sun and debris from space.

The debris collides with particles in the atmosphere and therefor burns up before it touches the Earth's surface.
