1. Yes
2. No

Compare:

1. It has been raining for the last two hours.

2. It has rained for the last two hours.

Difference?

• In de eerste zin ligt de nadruk op de duur van de actie.

Present Perfect Continuous

• He has been talking to Amanda about you lately.
  
• He has been talking to Amanda about you.
  

Als er geen ‘tijd’ in de zin staat ligt de nadruk op dat het recentelijk is gebeurd.

It has rained.

It has been raining.

Grammaticaal correct maar betekenen iets anders

Present Perfect Continuous

• I’m very tired. I have been working very hard lately.
  
• He has been talking to Amanda about you.
  
• It has been raining for the last two hours.
  

1. Begonnen in het verleden en nu nog steeds relevant.
2. Nadruk ligt op de duur van de actie.
3. Dat iets recentelijks is gebeurd. 

Present Perfect Continuous

• Have/has + been + verb+ing

I have been hearing a lot about you.

She has been watching Netflix all day.

They have been looking all over for you.

I …. (clean) all morning – I’ve had enough!

I … (drink) more water recently, and I feel better.

Sorry about the mess. He … (bake).

I … (wait) for three weeks for that package to arrive.

Present Perfect & Present Perfect Continuous

Look at that couple over there, they ... (be, only)
here for five or ten minutes and they already have their food.

He must realize we ... (order, not) yet! We .... (sit) here for over half an hour staring at him.

I don't know if he ... (notice, even) us. He ... (run)
from table to table taking orders and serving food.
