What is a diary?

Read the diary extract. How old do you think the writer is? What features does this diary have?

A diary entry

 A diary (dagboekverhaal) is a journal where you express your thoughts, feelings and opinions.

In the next slides we are going to read a diary of a student in a new school. While we are reading, select the unknown words and write them down in your Map.

Book assignment: Diary entry

Task 

You now work in groups of three. 

Group 1: Those who have finished their diary give each other feedback with two stars and a wish worksheet. Then apply each other feedback in your work.

Group 2: Those who are busy writing the diary continue working on it. Use the assessment form (beoordelingsformulier)  to check your work.

Group 3: Those who have not yet started their diary, I will sit with you to help you.
