Reading exercises
An office building has 12 floors. Each floor has 35 office rooms. The caretaker changes 5 lightbulbs on every floor every week.
How many lightbulbs does he change in a year?

The caretaker changes 5 lightbulbs per floor every week. There are 12 floors, so every week he changes: 5 × 12 = 60 lightbulbs.
In a year, there are 52 weeks, so the total number of lightbulbs he changes in a year is: 60 × 52 = 3120 lightbulbs.

An English teacher buys textbooks for his class at a price of €7.50 per book. Every book has 60 pages. In total, he pays €225.
How many books did he buy?

To find the number of books, divide the total amount spent by the price per book:

                                               books.

Thus, the teacher bought 30 books.

7.50225=30
